Agriturismo I Roseti

My favorite accommodation during my vacation in Italy, and I look forward to visiting again next time! I recommend staying at least two nights to fully enjoy the property and surroundings. Gianni and Maria are good people and kind, gracious hosts. The language barrier was not noticeable especially as Gianni and Maria made an effort to communicate and make me feel at home, and always made themselves available if I needed anything. For example, when he saw me reading in the yard, Gianni brought out a cot/patio chair. Before my checkout, when Gianni saw me cleaning the rental car windows, he went to grab his hose and helped me to spray down the entire car which was so kind and beyond what I expected from the hosts. Gianni and Maria wanted me to enjoy the property and my stay and that left the most lasting impression. Similarly, if staying at their property, I think it’s important to be considerate as you would at a friend or family’s home. Things about the property that stood out: It was a pleasure greeting their two dachshunds (who are well-loved and well cared for and given ample space to play and roam) everyday. I also loved taking breakfast and reading on the quiet terrace overlooking two neighboring farms and vineyards. It felt like a home away from home, while the separate house and the hosts still afforded me all the privacy I wanted. The bedroom, bathroom, and living room are spacious, comfortable, and clean. Bathroom towels were fluffy and clean. It was early September and the house was perfect temperature, shielding me from the afternoon heat and cooler air before sunrise (note that I come from the SF Bay Area). The complimentary bottle of wine from their vineyard and the various breakfast snacks and drinks were a thoughtful touch. The property is in the Val D’Orcia region of Tuscany only 5-10 minutes away from Montepulciano and it’s delicious restaurants by car. A short 15-20 minute drive from more remote/rural areas to watch the sunset (e.g. apparently where certain scenes in Gladiator were filmed).

We really enjoy at the place. Genny is amazing host and take care about us, give us a wonderful feeling at his place. He made amazing wine that done with heart.

Absolutely amazing and magical place. Hosts are very friendly and helpful and the rooms are very comfortable. Landscapes around the house will take your breath away. Car is recommended but if you're stubborn and motivated Montepulciano is around 25-30 minutes walk (mostly uphill). Gianni welcomes you with a bottle of wine of his own production which is a nice touch.
