Domaine de la Cour

Domaine de la cour is to be experienced. It’s our second time making the trip from London and Ireland as 10 adults and 10 young folk aged 4-17 years, to stay in this place of outstanding beauty. Once again this year, I had no want to go anywhere and just loved watching the children circle round us all day long , running from the trampoline to the pool, then lawn boules , a bit of table tennis or badminton even, to shooting basketball hoops on the Chateau gable end. The pals are major foodies and everything worked effortlessly, from the chefs knives to ovens to a kitchen garden outside the window. We held pasta making classes and barbecued a whole chicken on a can of beer (it worked…what the…?) and ate most evenings by candelabra outdoors late into the night. We walked the 4k loop of their forest circling the grounds fishing lake. We drank Axels calvandos . We lit a fire on a evening and the kids gathered sticks. We stayed too long in the wood fired hot tubs. We’d all screech with excitement when we’d see Axels majestic hunting dog Spiro come bounding out! We played rounders on and on through a summer shower on the front lawn . We will cherish these memories and are grateful to our host Axel for how generous you have been with your time and deeply loved home. We will be coming back again next year if you’ll have us. 🙏 so much Axel

Visited here for a week in August and had a wonderful holiday with our family. Axel was an amazing host, very helpful and accommodating. The house was very well equipped with comfortable beds and excellent bedding. The kitchen is fully equipped and the WiFi was excellent. The outside had great furniture with a BBQ. The pool was also superb. The location was very peaceful and the region had a lot of great towns and villages to visit...would fully recommend a visit to anybody wanting a quiet get away.

Absolutely incredible place that accommodates large groups and has many things for adults and children to do. Swimming pool is fantastic and wood burning hot tubs add a lick of luxury. The views are sublime and the lake and surrounding forest area make this a magical place to stay. Thank you Axel for making our stay so comfortable and enjoyable. Nothing was too much effort. This was our first 2nd visit and hope to return in the near future .

This is absolutely amazing property, the views and surroundings are beautiful and Axel was a great host. The kids loved the pool and the jacuzzi was also fantastic.

Disgusting behaviour. "Advertise" at a price of £2500. Then go to make the booking and they come back with an increased quote of £4500. Out to rip off the English clearly. No thanks.
