Agriturismo Il Gonzeto

We spent three nights at Agriturismo Il Gonzeto and absolutely loved it. It was everything we had hoped for during our stay in the area. The host was incredibly kind and helpful, giving us valuable information about the surroundings along with excellent recommendations for restaurants and local wineries, which we visited and really enjoyed. This is definitely a place we would return to if we’re in the area again. The house was built 30 years ago and has a charming, traditional Tuscan feel. The entire property was clean and well maintained. The pool area was a great place to relax. Communication with the host was also effortless, as we could reach him directly through WhatsApp. For example, if we were by the pool and wanted a snack, we could simply message him and he would bring it to us. That level of convenience applied to everything. The property sits on a hilltop with beautiful views of the Tuscan countryside. It’s also just a short +5min drive to the town’s central parking, which made it convenient. The rooms were spacious and had a charming feel. Soundproofing isn’t the best, but overall, everyone was very quiet in the evenings, so it wasn’t an issue, and we always bring earplugs with us anyway. Some atmospheric lighting in the room would be a really nice touch. The pool could stay open a little longer. Highly recommended to anyone visiting the region.

We had an incredible time at il Gonzetto. Our stay was wonderful. Excellent breakfast, lovely rooms and with unique views all round. Amazing infinity pool, refreshing in April. A highlight was renting two electric bikes for 50 euro each. They were in impeccable condition and got us around the Tuscan countryside. Michael the owner was super friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back.

This place deserves every possible condemnation. The host is violent and aggressive, behaving rudely toward the guests who arrive. The owner treats people in a disgraceful and stingy manner. The rooms are not clean, and you receive only two small bottles of shampoo that are supposed to last for two days. Additionally, the room is cleaned only once every two days. The host is unwilling to accept any criticism. When we spoke to him calmly about his behavior, he threatened to call the police and throw us out. I have stayed at dozens of hotels around the world, and I have never encountered such behavior from hosts. Apart from the location, there is nothing good to say about this place. The breakfast is simply inedible and served with no generosity whatsoever. This is an expensive place that offers no value for the price. You’ve been warned!!! I recommend that anyone reading the reviews take a look at how the host responds to guests here. For anyone interested, I have recordings of how he treated us. An absolute disgrace.
