Agriturismo Cascina Mirandola exceeded my expectations. The room was clean, comfortable, and had great views of the countryside. The real highlight was the food the in house dinners and breakfasts were exceptional, with fresh, locally-sourced ingredients prepared to perfection. The staff were friendly and welcoming, making my stay very enjoyable. They were accommodating, which was a big plus. The only thing that prevented it from being perfect was the thin walls, so light sleepers might want to take that into consideration. Overall, I'd highly recommend Agriturismo Cascina Mirandola for a relaxing retreat with great food and a warm atmosphere. The location in Reyrieux, Rhône-Alpes, is perfect for exploring the region. I'd definitely stay here again, and I think you'll enjoy it too. The agriturismo's focus on local produce and traditional cooking really added to the experience, making it a great choice for anyone looking to unwind in the French countryside. Positive: Service provided by Alessia, her attention and empathy to a family traveling with a baby. Breakfast staff was also very friendly and buffet and coffee deserve 5 stars. But our experience was generally negative especially due to the restaurant service and the location of our room. We came looking for a break in our roadtrip, at reservation we were informed that the room available was out of the property, but I just imagined a room away from the main building. Surprisingly, the room was in a city away from the Agriturismo and the service staff would bring up and down. You couldn’t even drive there with the car for the lack of parking spots.. As we are traveling with a 1 year old baby, we just wanted a place with a structure that would allow us to let him run freely. But that was not possible with this room. The room was ok but at reservation they could have been more specific about the 10 minutes drive to the hotel. Let’s go to the worst part of our stay: We were informed that dinner would only be served at 19:30 which is very late for a toddler to eat, during this time he’s in bed already. Alessia, very friendly said; no problem, for him we can prepare something before- which shows excellent customer service from her side. When she went to the kitchen to ask for it; we heard shouts and fights. The kitchen and service staff was very angry about it. It was just a pasta pomodoro and I could have done it myself. But we were in the middle of nowhere, no change to find something else to eat, and our baby just need to eat something! As she said it would be possible we trusted. After the shouts, the team brought the pasta, but very grumpy. We were sitting at the restaurant with other guests, while other people were being served drinks, they didn’t even offer us water. Like we were being punished for daring to order food before the service time. We sit there more than an hour, waiting for the dinner time so we could also eat and drink something. But after we felt the disrespect and punishment from the restaurant team, we just went to bed hungry, luckily we had some water in the car. I’m thankful that our baby could eat something but treating us like this only shows a lack of empathy to families with small children. I understand there was no service that time- if they couldn’t serve my child before service time they could just have informed in our arrival and we would drive to a different place, but having this expectation, information and at the end being treated like a street dog begging for food, is not what my family deserves. It’s really sad to see that some people ruin the hard work of those who try to make this place good. Definitely I don’t recommend this place, especially to families with children.

A dreamlike space from the 14th century★★★★★ An unforgettable, almost fairytale experience Staying at Agriturismo Cascina was truly a magical experience. Knowing that this place dates back to the 14th century makes it even more special — you really feel the history the moment you arrive. The location is simply breathtaking: high on the hills, surrounded by nature, absolute silence, fresh air, and a deep sense of peace. It feels like being far away from the world, yet still close to Como. The atmosphere is authentic rural life, but executed in a very elegant and refined way. Nothing feels fake or touristic — it’s real, warm, and beautifully maintained. Breakfast was excellent: fresh, high-quality products, thoughtfully prepared, and enjoyed in a calm, natural setting. Waking up there in the morning was one of the highlights of our trip. This is not just a place to stay — it’s an experience. Perfect for anyone looking for tranquility, nature, history, and a touch of romance. I would gladly return.
