Gîte at Collet de Doizieux. Magnificent, peaceful setting in the Pilat Regional Natural Park. Sleeps 35, semi-professional kitchen and very large living room. Everything has been carefully renovated. Ideal location for a large group, family reunion, seminar, etc.
Avoid at all costs!!! I strongly advise against staying here. The owners are very unpleasant and disrespectful. The owner enters the cottage without asking, as if we weren't even there. The check-in inspection takes 5 minutes. But the check-out inspection also takes 5 minutes. Then, after we leave, she scrutinizes every little detail. So, they should do the same level of cleaning upon arrival and departure.
We first came a few years ago and had a good weekend. However, our last visit was a completely different story. The premises are in decent condition, but the owner is extremely unfriendly. The check-in inspection was completed in 5 minutes, while the check-out inspection took much longer, focusing on minor details. Finally, a few days after our stay, we were informed that some items had been broken and were asked to pay 200 euros for repairs. The fact that we were a group of young people probably played a role, but it's a shame to treat people like idiots.
Avoid at all costs!!! I strongly advise against staying here; the owners are very unpleasant and disrespectful. The woman entered our accommodation without our permission at 8:00 AM, even though we had the cottage until 3:00 PM. There are plenty of lovely cottages in the Pilat region, so definitely don't go there.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! For the Pentecost weekend of 2024, we rented this gîte for a family gathering from Saturday, May 18th to Monday, May 20th (27 people). We arrived at 10 am on Saturday and the gîte was closed!!! No message had been received (all communication regarding the rental had been by phone and text). To our great surprise, while searching for the name of La Grange aux Chouettes (COLLET DE DOIZIEUX), we stumbled upon an unwanted message dated Thursday, May 16th (two days prior) claiming they couldn't accommodate us due to a supposed serious accident!!! This association could have at least given us a call!! These people are very dishonest and ruined our weekend. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!
