Hoyos è uno di quei villaggi che si scopre quasi per caso, nascosto nella Sierra de Gata tra i castagni e gli ulivi secolari dell'Estremadura profonda. Qui il tempo rallenta, i vicoli di granito conducono a piazze ombreggiate, e i paesi intorno sembrano preservati da secoli. È in questo scrigno discreto e autentico che Casa Rural Terracea ha trovato il suo posto — con l'eleganza tranquilla dei migliori indirizzi.
La casa è magnifica, lo dicono all'unanimità gli ospiti. Le foto le rendono appena giustizia: dal vivo è ancora più bella e accogliente. Gli interni sono caldi, curati nei minimi dettagli, con camere confortevoli per un gruppo e una cucina straordinariamente ben attrezzata — di quelle in cui la voglia di cucinare insieme viene naturalmente, dove le colazioni si allungano, dove le cene diventano ricordi. Tutto ciò di cui si potrebbe aver bisogno è lì, senza doverci pensare.
Ma è fuori che la magia si installa davvero. Il giardino e le terrazze si guadagnano con pochi passi dopo il risveglio, e in cambio offrono un'atmosfera che non si dimentica più: caffè mattutino nella luce dorata dell'Estremadura, aperitivi al tramonto sulle terrazze a gradoni, cene sotto le stelle quando il caldo tarda a calare. Conchi e Clara, le proprietarie, incarnano quella ospitalità naturale e calorosa che fa davvero la differenza — hanno pensato a tutto e sanno essere presenti senza mai essere invadenti.
Intorno a Hoyos, la Sierra de Gata riserva intere giornate di scoperte: borghi medievali aggrappati alle colline, strade sinuose tra i ciliegi in fiore, mercati locali che traboccano di salumi e formaggi regionali. Si torna la sera stanchi quanto basta.
Cosa portano con sé gli ospiti? Forse niente di tangibile — solo quella sensazione preziosa di aver davvero staccato, di aver condiviso qualcosa di autentico con le persone che amano, in un posto che non esiste da nessun'altra parte.

An incredible weekend, not only because of the charm of Hoyos and the villages we visited in the Sierra de Gata. Terracea is the perfect place to relax. The house is wonderful, and the gardens are simply perfect for unwinding or having a barbecue and enjoying a leisurely after-dinner chat. Having breakfast on one of the terraces while watching the sunrise is amazing. I'll definitely be back. Thanks to the hosts, who made our weekend perfect.

The house is absolutely wonderful. Everything is even more beautiful and welcoming than in the photos. The house has everything you could possibly need. The kitchen is incredibly well-equipped, the bed linens are amazing, and the terraces and patio are so inviting you'll never want to leave. What's more, the village and the surrounding area are spectacular. The owners are wonderful too. In short, a perfect rural retreat, highly recommended for a long weekend getaway.

We spent three days at Terrazea and loved the house. It's perfect in every way and equipped with everything you need. The garden and terraces are wonderful. Conchi and Clara were incredibly welcoming. We'll try to come back in the spring. Thank you for everything.

Since I didn't book through Booking.com, I'm writing this review via Google because it's worth sharing our experience at this wonderful country house in Hoyos. Two families stayed for three nights in August, and it was spectacular. In my opinion, it's the best country house we've ever stayed in. Absolutely no detail was overlooked. The decor and furnishings were incredible. The beds were incredibly comfortable with cotton sheets. It was luxurious and tasteful, and there were also interesting books and charming spaces throughout the house perfect for enjoying a good read. The staff were lovely and very understanding; they even let us leave late (because we didn't want to leave). Honestly, we'd live there! :-)

Beautiful country house with stunning terraces. Very comfortable beds. The welcome touches were much appreciated. The owners and the lady who gave us the keys were very attentive and friendly. By the way, the village of Hoyos and the surrounding area are wonderful. In short, highly recommended, and we can't wait to return.
