A wonderful stay. A photogenic house in a spectacular setting. It was lovely to spend the afternoon by the fireplace and enjoy the hiking trails nearby. Linens, towels, all the necessary kitchenware, firewood, etc., are provided. The owner was incredibly helpful. Be very careful to take the correct entrance, the one closest to Galaroza. If you take the first one Google Maps suggests from Aracena, it will lead you down a road where you could easily get stuck.

We stayed for a week. The house was beautiful, with every detail thought of. The surroundings were peaceful, perfect for a family getaway. However, the pool left much to be desired. I think the water has been restored, and although it looked clean, the edges were very green. I sincerely believe that it should be maintained a bit more carefully at this time of year. On another note, when we arrived, we asked about the barbecue, as the listing stated it was available. However, we were told that it wasn't, as they were prohibited at that time of year. We understand that's the case, but as city dwellers, we don't always understand. We were planning on having a ton of meat for the week. I think that to avoid these kinds of problems, the listing should clearly state that the barbecue is unavailable from certain months to certain months. Another issue was the television. We couldn't watch it for almost the entire week, as there were hardly any channels. Otherwise, everything was fine; I must highlight that it is a beautiful house with a lot of charm.

First of all, we'd like to say we stayed at Casa Castañedo. Next, we'd like to thank Jose for his kindness and hospitality, as well as for allowing us to enjoy the house and its surroundings for a longer time. We can say that Casa Castañedo is fully equipped with everything you need for a relaxing stay. The rooms are large, the bathrooms are clean, and the kitchen and living room are very spacious. All of this includes a delicious barbecue that you can use and eat in the middle of nature. Its setting, beyond words, is located in the middle of nature, surrounded by cork oaks and flora that will make your days peaceful and comfortable. We will return one day.

I booked a few months ago to check in today, and when I arrived, I was met with a lie. The house is tiny and doesn't have everything the (rural getaway) ad claims. Besides being dirty and poorly maintained, the pool isn't even properly cared for. I'm writing all this with screenshots of the ad that completely scammed me, and of course, the €110 deposit I paid has been kept.

Lovely little houses surrounded by nature. Nicely decorated. Very peaceful, with no noise at all, and well-equipped. Access is easy despite being in the middle of the mountains. The manager is very friendly and efficient.
