Casa El Pinsapo è un cottage autentico che porta l'anima del villaggio senza cercare di mascherarla. Le mura spesse mantengono il fresco d'estate, e d'inverno un camino invita a sistemarsi per la serata — bisognerà procurarsi la legna all'arrivo, il tempo che la casa trovi il suo calore. Due ospiti o una piccola famiglia vi si sentiranno a proprio agio, in un interno semplice e funzionale dove l'essenziale è presente: una cucina attrezzata per preparare i piatti lenti che si ha voglia di cucinare in montagna, un salotto con divano di fronte al fuoco, camere dove si dorme bene dopo una giornata nelle gole.
Perché è fuori che tutto accade. A due passi, il belvedere di Grazalema offre una vista su un patchwork di colline verdi e rocce calcaree che pochi luoghi d'Europa possono eguagliare. Gli escursionisti partono di buon mattino verso la Garganta Verde o il Puerto de las Palomas, gli appassionati di arrampicata conoscono già questa regione come un terreno di gioco eccezionale. La sera, i vicoli lastricati del villaggio e i suoi pochi bar di tapas ricordano che la vita qui ha il suo ritmo — lento, generoso, senza fronzoli.

The house is fine. Everything is very old and poorly maintained, but it's okay. However, I wasn't very impressed with the service. The beds weren't made, and there weren't enough sheets and towels for all the beds and people in our group. There was very little toilet paper, and not even a single piece of firewood to start the fireplace. These are small details, but they make all the difference.

It was a very good 3 days and 2 nights. The house was a bit cold, and having to buy firewood upon arrival meant it took a while to heat up, even though there were two heaters on the table. The living room and kitchen were large and well-equipped. The bedrooms had heating, but in two of them, the heaters turned off after a short time. There was only one roll of toilet paper in each bathroom, which wasn't enough for 3 days and 9 people. The dishwasher didn't work perfectly, but it did speed things up. There weren't any cleaning products to clean the bathroom, for example. But apart from those minor details, we had a very good weekend. The house was fine, and we were able to walk around and see the town and surrounding area, which was the reason we came.

The truth is, the house is quite basic in terms of what you might expect from a holiday home, although the owner was very helpful and quickly resolved a minor issue. The house is comfortable and located in a very quiet part of the village, ideal for hiking in the area.

Very spacious and welcoming house, very well equipped. Sleeps many (more than 12). The kitchen is huge and the living room is very cozy, with a fireplace and plenty of seating. It's not close to the town center, but it's near some great hiking trails, making it ideal for that. Very big house and cozy place. It's nicely equipped too. Capacity for many people (more than 12). Dry for being one of the rainiest towns in Spain, but very beautiful overall, and as for the rain, that's just another problem in Spain.
