CasaGiga 3461 (Canicosa de la Sierra)

We stayed this past weekend, and we had very high expectations given the reviews we'd read. When we arrived, we were literally speechless. The photos are very well done, considering what it's actually like. The house was indeed clean, that much is true. But otherwise, it feels a bit haphazard, with things thrown around without much sense in the decor. The house is poorly lit. Outside, the back tables are overgrown with grass, and the front table feels like you're on a cruise ship, as it's hanging from harnesses. We found the barbecue uncleaned; there was charcoal and ashes left by the previous guests. The owner, Fran, was polite and helpful, but lacked any attention to detail. We travel a lot with this type of rural tourism, and honestly, it's a house I unfortunately won't recommend to my friends. Again, it's clean, but it's not what you expect from the photos.

My whole family (16 people) spent three nights here in January and we had a fantastic time. The place is incredibly welcoming, the house is meticulously maintained, Fran is lovely, always willing to help and recommend places to visit, the village has a spectacular bakery, and the house has a climbing wall, foosball, a children's play area, and a stunning central fireplace. We'll definitely be back! ❤️👍Andrés

This house is wonderful! Full of thoughtful details, super comfortable and well-maintained. You can tell it was made with a lot of love. Plus, the bedrooms are fantastic and each has its own bathroom. It's very difficult to find a house for large groups with a bathroom in every room, so it's perfect! And if you're traveling with children, they'll be thrilled because it has a trampoline, ball pit, swimming pool, climbing wall... We loved it. We'll definitely be back. And the surroundings are beautiful too... A 10 out of 10!

We enjoyed our stay at La Questa CasaGiga country house with friends, and everything went very well. Fran is a friendly person and always willing to help. The house is very well located in a quiet corner of the village of Carnicosa de la Sierra. In the surrounding area, there are many places of interest, as well as routes and walks through lush greenery. It's a magical area with a rich history and numerous points of interest, including historical, paleontological, and even mycological sites, with special mention of the Neila Lagoons. The house is fantastic for families with children because it has a playhouse in the garden with a ball pit and a trampoline, and a swimming pool, although we didn't get to try it due to the time of year. As for areas for improvement, perhaps the kitchenware and dishes could be more complete, and it would be better if the firewood were oak or holm oak so it lasts longer because it gets cold at night. It should also be readily available near the entrance of the house with everything needed to light it. Some other details of the house make it more original than elegant, but overall it is a very complete and comfortable house to enjoy with friends.

The pool isn't visible from the house; it's about a meter deep. The garden is quite neglected, and there's very little furniture in general. We had the misfortune of the hot water, Wi-Fi, and stovetop not working. The host was very friendly and tried to resolve the issues. If you're traveling with a dog, be careful because the property isn't fenced, and two stray dogs got in. A group of kids also got right into the pool area.
