CasaGiga 1927 (Caderousse)

Great cottage. We received a very friendly welcome from two very hospitable people. They slept in the cottage next door but didn't complain about the noise once (even though we were quite loud). The rooms and bathrooms were excellent. A very spacious garden and a lovely terrace! Definitely recommended if you're traveling with children; there's a trampoline, play equipment, a hammock, and more. The pool is excellent, very large, and there were also comfortable sunbeds. We really enjoyed our stay!

The house was in a terrible state. Extremely dirty, especially the pool, which we found completely green. We cleaned the pool so our children could swim in it. There were 10 of us, including very young children. The pool edges hadn't even been swept. The kitchen and refrigerator were ancient, and there was only one small frying pan for a 5-bedroom house! What a shame! This house could be truly beautiful if it were properly maintained and cleaned for rental.

Big disappointment upon our arrival! A smell caught our attention, indeed, the septic tank was emptied in the neighboring field when we arrived (40 minutes before the scheduled time), the swimming pool poorly maintained with greenish water without the appropriate equipment to maintain it, skylights impossible to open to ventilate the dormitory upstairs, dated bedding for some beds, disgusting seat fabric and unsuitable and insufficient cookware for a large group of vacationers. The owner tried to solve the water problem, without success. We decided to leave the premises thanks to the reactive action of Airbnb upon presentation of the photos. A word of advice if you can, go there before confirming the reservation. What a shame because the site is magnificent but it must be properly maintained!
