CasaGiga 3480 (Pietralunga)

Set in a wooded valley in northern Umbria, this beautifully restored stone farmhouse sits within easy reach of Pietralunga, a fortified medieval hilltop village. The property sleeps up to twelve guests across five bedrooms — four double rooms and one family room — each with its own private bathroom, original terracotta tile floors, and exposed wooden ceiling beams. The main living room features a carved stone fireplace and opens onto a south-facing covered terrace overlooking the Apennine hills. A fully equipped kitchen is shared by the whole group. Outside, an eight-metre pool stretches alongside a garden of olive trees, with open views over the surrounding forested ridges. A stone barbecue, covered parking for five vehicles, and Wi-Fi throughout the building round out the amenities. The property sits within a protected natural area of oak and chestnut forests. Food enthusiasts will be delighted to know that summer black truffle grows in the nearby woods — one of the region's most prized treasures. Pietralunga offers everyday shops and a weekly market, and every autumn hosts a celebrated truffle festival. Gubbio and Città di Castello are both easily reachable for a day trip. Central heating is supplemented by a wood-burning stove in the sitting room. Pets are welcome upon request. Hosts speak French, Italian, and English, and the property is open year-round — perfect for a summer gathering, an autumn escape, or a winter retreat.
