CasaGiga 2040 (Vabres)

We spent a week's holiday there over Christmas. The cottage is quite pleasant, spacious, and welcoming. The owner, a farmer, happily showed the children how to milk his cows and even let them taste some fresh milk. They were thrilled! But why such a low rating? At the end of our stay, when we went to return the keys, we were told that the cleaning hadn't been done. It's worth noting that we left everything spotless, even cleaner than before, because when we cleaned, we found other people's clothes. Furthermore, we had to make do with faulty vacuum cleaners. I'm really disappointed by this bad faith on the part of the owner. It's a shame because otherwise, it would have deserved 5 stars.

Excellent week spent with family over Christmas. Pleasant, practical, and functional cottages. Warning: the baby cot is unusable as it falls apart. (Luckily, we had brought a travel cot.) Heating problems despite adjusting the thermostat (thankfully, there's a wood-burning stove). Finally, the last (and major) point: It's a shame about the owner's bad faith! There were 16 of us for a week. We started cleaning on Sunday at 3 pm for a departure (it was rainy; if we had wanted to leave the cottage dirty, we could have happily done so) on Monday at 10 am. The floor cloths were frankly impractical, so we bought regular mops (which we left in the cottage). We managed as best we could with a vacuum cleaner that didn't work and another whose hose kept coming loose. Thanks to all the cleaning products available, we cleaned the bedrooms. The bathrooms, floors, and living areas of both cottages were spotless, and yet we were asked to pay extra for a poor cleaning job. What a lovely Christmas present... A bottle of wine would have been much nicer!

We rented both cottages for a group of 19 motorcyclists for 9 days: huge, very clean, and very functional accommodations. The owners are very welcoming, kind, and generous. They know how to host. We were able to store all the motorcycles safely 👍. We will definitely return with great pleasure. Thank you again, Veronique and Richard.
