CasaGiga 1807 (Aubusson-d'Auvergne)

A very charming cottage nestled in the heart of the countryside. I came for a weekend at the end of July and stayed in the "Bullfinch Family Suite." For me, this place has few, if any, faults. First of all, the owners are very welcoming and can advise you on walks to take. Regarding breakfast, even though I expected to see a much wider selection and there were no savory options (compared to what I'd seen on TV), it was very good and I wasn't hungry afterward. As for the room I stayed in, everything was excellent (large size, tasteful decor, comfortable bed...). The bathroom was also very spacious! And the cottage itself was perfect: the kitchen is open to all guests, which is very convenient; there are board games and a television. Information about places to discover in the region and local events is also available. The exterior is very pretty, surrounded by greenery. The only sounds you hear are the birds and the stream that runs right next to the cottage. The terrace and swimming pool are very pleasant. The value for money is good. I came here for an internship. We stayed in the gîte, which was very well designed for eight people. The place is perfect, with a real sense of character. It felt like arriving at Grandma's house...which was waiting for us around a bend in the river...

Excellent! A warm welcome with a delicious orange cake. Homemade jams, farm eggs, organic milk and butter... for a truly exceptional breakfast. We had a wonderful weekend exploring this beautiful region. Lake Aubusson and the hiking trails, including the Col des Supeyres, recommended by our hosts, offer stunning views. And what can we say about the gîte with the soothing Couzon stream that lulls and refreshes you! Go there, you'll be amazed.
