We went for dinner with friends and kids. Lovely atmosphere, with great open spaces for adults and little ones alike. Food was diverse and all delicious. Their starters platter is amazing, “melanzane in agrodolce” was one of our favourite from the dishes they served. Pasta was also superb, ask for the daily offers outside the menu - we were lucky to bump into a “spaghettone con sfere di lime e gambero crudo”, sublime. Friends had meat and loved it too. All washed down with nice house wine. Service was impeccable and truly fast - a wonderful evening overall!

For a short but intense trip to Salento, I was looking for a place not exactly in the city of Lecce, but in a quiet area, and that's where Masseria Questa CasaGiga came from. After the lights of the city center, you enter this farmhouse, less than 10 minutes away, from a dirt road, but easily accessible. Mrs. Anna was immediately available to give instructions on the room and restaurant. The room was a large triple room with a French window and mosquito net, but there are no other windows. The duvet was soft and warm, as there is a significant temperature difference in the evenings. The bathroom was long and had a large shower, but it didn't have a window, but it was comfortable. The room was warm, with comfortable mattresses and topper. Dinner was booked in advance, but there were only a few places. We tried the frittini (meatballs, arancini, and fritters), three of us ate one portion, and the pizza was excellent and very light. The breakfast was Italian, with homemade cakes, croissants, and parcels, along with juice, coffee, cappuccino, and jams. I'll be back.
