CasaGiga 339 (Saint-Frichoux)

We’re back for our second visit at this exceptional, welcoming home in the countryside. The hosts, Sophie annd Jean-Claude, are truly warm and gracious hosts. They provide delicious breakfasts and dinners prepared by Jean-Claude, a retired patissier and chocolatier from near Paris. The rooms are quite comfortable and clean. Fine wineries and restaurants are nearby. We’ll surely return here again.

We came first to Questa CasaGiga last year and returned for three nights this August, which says everything. Jean-Claude and Sophie are great hosts who treat everyone as family friends, and who do not just check you in and retire to their private apartment, but join the guests around the common dining table (which in good weather is in their attractive patio) for dinner and breakfast. We have met some lovely people, from many countries, which makes our sojourn in this beautiful part of France a memorable experience. To top it all Jean-Claude is an excellent cook so don't miss their dinners. The location is in a very small village so a car is essential. There are many interesting places to visit, including Carcassonne, and the hosts will advise you. The rooms, on two floors, are spacious and attractively decorated with Sophie's personal touch. The stairs are rather narrow with a turn halfway; so anyone with an incapacity to climb stairs I suggest should contact the owners before booking.

My family and I spent 5 nights over Christmas at Questa CasaGiga. We had an amazing time. Their bed and breakfast is perfect. When my sister and I were planning our trip, we couldn't have imagined how great of a place Questa CasaGiga would turn out to be. Sophie and Jean-Claude were incredible hosts. We celebrated Christmas with their family, and Christmas dinner was beyond amazing. Breakfast was great; Jean-Claude prepared homemade baked goods and homemade jams. I recommend this place to anyone wanting a French countryside getaway. I cannot wait to come back!
