CasaGiga 2402 (Montanare)

My wife and I visited Questa CasaGiga last fall but I have just gotten around to reviewing the place. Location: It is difficult to find because of the long, winding road which is not adequately signed. In addition, you must drive to any of the surrounding towns because it is quite remote - not walkable. Ambiance: very quiet for a couple of days but not recommended for anything longer. There is nothing of interest to do on site and sitting out in the evenings was impossible because of the mosquitoes. The breakfasts were limited and never varied for the five days we were there. The food was monotonous. Rooms - little to no A/C - actually the A/C did not work properly, and no screens on doors or windows so mosquitoes were a frequent irritant. The pool was closed because of off season but still full of water so it was a mosquito farm. The hosts were genial but more thought should be given to breakfast choices because the value is not there. We paid for more this Agriturismo based upon the reviews but the reviews did not meet our expectations - we would not return.

This place is an oasis. So calm, the birds sing all day long and you can only see trees and greenery from the property. Very comfortable bed. Great bathroom. Verh generous breakfast with very nice coffee. Perfectly clean. Very kind hosts and Tyson the dog is a good buddy. Wifi is great (also works for video calls) and is available everywhere on the property. A very narrow road goes up to the house, there are signs saying iQuesta CasaGiga but they are dark brown so not very visible. No mobile signal. Bring inspect repellent. No storage space for clothes in the studio.

What a nice and warm stay it has been! Tucked away between green hills with lovely views and peace, yet close enough to Cortona and other towns of Tuscany and Umbria. The apartments are spacious, modern, impeccably clean and with perfect air conditioning. The hosting family are lovely helpful people. Definitely a place to come back to
