A wonderful place to stay. An extremely quirky and interesting building with stairs going off in different directions and lots of lovely places to sit. There are lots of animals as well, goats, peacocks, chicken and ducks. The hosts are delightful and do a great dinner and breakfast with even the breakfast cakes and bread home made. Very peaceful and relaxing. Deep in the countryside and in earshot of a nearby stream Enjoy.
We spent 2 nights here with a family of 4. (2 small ones). First the good: Location is good, house is cosy (bit dated) and rooms are nice (for the price). Food is excellent! Owners are very friendly however not very flexible. We were not allowed to feed our kids with our own food during dinner nor feed them in the living room. Also no flexibility on check-in/out times or dinner times. Great for couples, but for families with small kids it might not be the best choice. For that 4 stars.
We spent 4 days and had a wonderful time. Not only is the farm located in a beautiful area but the hosts are friendly, helpful and welcoming. True is, breakfasts are delicious local produce. We opted for dinner and were served tasty and thoughtful local menu. Would love to return!
Excellent place to stay, very friendly and cosy
Paradise in La Garrotxa! Mercedes and Diego have created a wonderful haven in the Garrotxa Volcanoes Natural Park: a beautiful farmhouse with goats, turkeys, chickens... Perfect for families with children. It's close to Olot, Castellfollit de la Roca, and many other charming villages. Countless hikes are available, ranging from challenging to easy, such as the Volcano Trail or the Fageda d'en Jordà beech forest. The breakfast they prepare is fabulous, featuring local cured meats and pastries made by Mercedes herself. Mercedes and Diego are passionate about the land, know how to make the most of it, and care for it like no one else. For those seeking unspoiled nature, a stunning setting, natural products, and above all, the warm hospitality of Mercedes and Diego, this is the perfect place.
