CasaGiga 2711 (Crouy sur Cosson)

Peaceful Getaway in a Charming Woodland Chalet carefully organised by two lovely owners, Nathalie and Arnaud. We had an unforgettable stay at this cozy chalet nestled in the woods. From the moment we arrived, we were struck by the tranquility of the surroundings—birds chirping, fresh forest air, and not a sound of city life. The chalet itself was beautifully maintained, with rustic charm and all the modern comforts we needed. The interior was warm and inviting, with a wood-burning fireplace that made our evenings extra special. We loved sipping coffee on the porch in the mornings and watching the stars at night—such a refreshing escape from our daily routine. Perfect for couples, families, or anyone looking to unwind and reconnect with nature. We left feeling relaxed, recharged, and already planning our next visit. Thanks for everything, we will come back.

This place has changed its ownership, hence it is living off the review score of previous years, not based on the current state of service. Our recent experience there was terrible. Owners are rude. Provided no food even though we paid restaurant price for it. We are three people but they put out wine and glasses only for two. We had to request several times for the basic service (room key, towels, wine glasses, paper napkin, etc.). We had hardly anything to eat both at dinner and breakfast. Such a rip-off place, terrible! Owners are outright inhospitable and do not care if guests are unhappy with their very deficient service. The dinner and breakfast are very poor, in both quantity and quality. So stingy. They provided us with the food as if they were giving us a favor. The breakfast is equally terrible, with nothing much to eat. The coffee machine does not work. And they did not bother to check if we needed anything, so if things were not working or if something was missing, no way you could find it. They don't give you paper napkin either, and we had to ask for it! What sort of service is that? They put the trolley for garbage right next to the dining table, worse than in the school cafeteria! So you sit next to the garbage container eating your breakfast (if it can be called breakfast). The photos do not show the metal rustic dining table with hard, uncomfortable chairs that should not be used at all for human beings. The towels are paper-thin, the bed linen is old and should have been replaced a long time ago as the surface is so rough (my skin almost got a rash from the bedlinen). The windows are covered with cobwebs. There is only one soap container to "share" between shower and hand wash basin so it is very inconvenient. The owners are in hospitality business but are not hospitable and do not realise that their job is to make sure a good service to customers and when customers provide feedback they need to heed to the feedback. In this place everything is bad. This is the first time we have come across such an all-round bad quality, bad service "gite" like this place, where things are so so bad, exacerbated by a bad attitude of the owners! This is a place to avoid at all costs!

We stayed at Esta CasaGiga sur Cosson and, unfortunately, our experience was quite disappointing. The accommodation is very outdated and in dire need of renovation. Cleanliness was questionable upon our arrival, with visible dust and insects, giving the impression of neglect. Furthermore, several lights were out of order, making some rooms impractical to use, especially in the evening. Finally, the welcome was rather cold. The hosts were not particularly friendly, and we were even subjected to some unpleasant remarks, which certainly did not contribute to a pleasant stay. In short, the setting could be lovely, but the quality of service and maintenance is subpar.

The chalets are spacious and peaceful. A beautiful, large swimming pool, as well as the Cosson, the small river that runs through the property, offer opportunities to cool off. The estate is truly magnificent.

We were at the Esta CasaGiga for a 30th birthday, we had a great weekend enjoying the games on site and a short visit to Chambord.
