CasaGiga 2273 (Lametz)

We just finished a three-night weekend in the large gîte at the château. Everything is designed for the comfort of the guests; it's functional, aesthetically pleasing, well-equipped, and spotlessly clean. The owners' welcome was perfect (attentive, friendly, and unobtrusive). The château is surrounded by a well-maintained estate, equipped with a children's play area and plenty of benches and lounge chairs for optimal relaxation. A welcoming pergola and a terrace lounge area allow you to enjoy meals and drinks outdoors if the weather is nice. All this in a hilly, varied, green, and peaceful region that we thoroughly enjoyed discovering. In short, an idyllic place that we highly recommend.

Fantastic weekend with family and friends. The castle was spotless and had all the essential amenities. The bedding was incredibly comfortable. The terrace was lovely. It was wonderfully peaceful. A truly successful escape to nature. The place is magical because the castle has a history. Thank you to the hosts for offering us a relaxing and wonderful time. I highly recommend this gîte!

Lovely grounds. There were nine of us golfers, all very happy with this beautiful place. Ideal for several families. Very friendly owners.

Charming and characteristic accommodation in the beautiful French Ardennes. Don't expect sleek luxury, but rather a neat, solid, and fully equipped place to stay. We stayed there with two families, a group of 8 in total. The chateau facilitated this perfectly: there were enough bedrooms, and every room had its own bathroom and toilet. Very nice regarding privacy, etc. The spacious kitchen was fully equipped. The children had plenty of room to play in the enormous garden, which features a large playhouse with a slide, a treehouse, and a basketball court. The owners are truly incredibly sweet and kind. They spontaneously treated the children to a delicious ice cream on a hot day and bought a small pool especially for them. The owner told us that there will be a 'real' swimming pool next year. They are still going to build it. That would make Chateau Lametz absolutely perfect! My only point of criticism: the small, narrow French beds :) At 1.75 m, my feet stuck out over the edge; for my husband, that was obviously even more the case. In one bedroom, the mattress was really rock hard. But we would love to come back here again in the future. It is a nice, friendly place to stay, an excellent base for trips in the beautiful surroundings.

In a rejuvenating and enchanting setting, a Wellness Day for family caregivers (who turned out in large numbers) was held at the Château de Lametz. A huge THANK YOU to Chantal and Thierry WARZEE for their warm welcome. This day will remain a cherished memory for all the participants.
